STEP 1
Launch SurveyGold and select the Setup Survey tab. Save
your survey as a web survey form
by right-clicking on your survey and selecting the Save As
Web Form
popup menu item.
 | Select the "Record" processing option. |
 | Make sure to uncheck the checkbox entitled
"Detect and prohibit multiple submissions from
the same respondent." |
 | Also, click the Advanced button and check the
checkbox entitled "Include a "Clear All
Responses" button to reset the web
survey form". |
STEP 2
Distribute your web survey form
to any number of data entry
personnel. You can do this any of the following ways:
 | Send it to them as an email attachment |
 | Place it on a web site
(intranet or public web site |
 | Place it on a commonly accessible network folder |
 | Burn it to a CD |
 | Copy it to a USB drive |
Note: The data entry
work can be done from anywhere, not just on the computer
where SurveyGold is installed. For example, it can be done
at someone's home, a dorm room, a coffee shop, etc.)
STEP 3
Provide each data entry
person with a portion of the stack of paper survey forms
to enter. For each paper form,
have the data entry
person enter the responses from the paper form
into the web survey form.
Then have them click Submit Your Responses to process the
responses. The responses are recorded on SurveyGold.com
for later downloading into your copy of SurveyGold.
STEP 4
Have your data entry
person then click the browser's BACK button to redisplay
the web survey form
just submitted. The previous responses will still be in
the form. Have the data
entry person click the "Clear
All Responses" button to clear the responses. They
can then proceed with entering the responses from the next
paper form. Repeat steps 3 and 4
until all of their paper forms are entered.
STEP 5
When you are ready to view the results in SurveyGold,
simply click on the Get Web
Responses button in the Conduct Survey tab. SurveyGold
will automatically download submitted web
survey responses from SurveyGold.com and then import them
into your copy of SurveyGold whereby you can view and
analyze the results.
